Sustainable Advantage welcomes sustainable building specialist Charlotte Barrow
Sustainable Advantage has hired Charlotte Barrow as an Environmental Consultant. Charlotte is a recent graduate from the Blekinge Institute of Technology’s Master in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability in Karlskrona, Sweden.
Written in collaboration with two classmates from Turkey and the Czech Republic, her thesis on “Open Source as Leverage towards Sustainable Housing” required a month of field research in Ghana, West Africa, where the researchers studied the social and ecological impacts of the dominant materials and practices used in housing. Charlotte entered the programme after completing an undergraduate degree in her native Canada.
“Sustainability should be considered at every stage of a building’s lifecycle from design through to occupancy. Charlotte’s skills in sustainable buildings will be a great asset to Sustainable Advantage. She also has valuable experience in behavioural change programmes which fits in well with our approach to help organisations embrace sustainability for strategic advantage.” James Stander, Managing Director, Sustainable Advantage.
