Sustainable Advantage welcomes travel planning specialist Kirsty Torode
Sustainable Advantage has hired Kirsty Torode, a sustainable transportation and energy specialist. Kirsty has worked in behaviour change, infrastructure improvements, writing and delivering training strategies, providing information and advice to staff, and liaising with local businesses, councils and public transport providers, and has written advisory papers for the EU, Travelwise, Transport for London and several councils.
Kirsty studied the Environment & Energy Studies programme at the Centre for Alternative Technology and began working as a planner, then Project Manager with Transport for London. She has won several awards for her work on sustainable travel plans. Previous clients include B&Q / Kingfisher Group, Sainsburys, the European Union and the NHS.
Transport planning is an exciting area and one that has been overlooked to a large degree. Companies are now seeing that this is an area worth focusing on – both how their staff travel to work and transportation within their work related activities.
“Kirsty has a wealth of experience in this niche field both in the public and private sector. We are delighted to welcome her on board and look forward to her assisting our clients in this area.” James Stander, Managing Director, Sustainable Advantage.
