We always tailor each assignment to the client’s varied individual needs. We employ the best and as such expect the very highest standards of service delivery and innovation. Our tested model means each assignment is led by an experienced Account Director supported by a delivery team supplemented by external experts.

We tend to work over a relatively long period of time to effect change and immerse ourselves in our client’s business, opportunities, challenges and ambitions. We always start each assignment no matter how short with a detailed review of the client, their challenges and aspirations. We work very closely with internal teams as sustainability touches several departments within a firm. Our preference is to build up long term relationships and our assignments typically span a length of time as we deliver various services along the sustainability curve. We do, however, deliver short, focused assignments where a client has a distinct need in an area e.g. they may want to explore the merits of renewable energy at one location.
Given the economic climate we are in, much of the focus is on cost and we have made sure that our teams deliver a great result here. Once costs have been saved, a portion of these funds are then recycled back into other sustainability areas that may not have been funded earlier on due to factors such as capex requirements. Behavioural change is an excellent area to focus on initially and several of our clients have looked at this area first for several reasons:
- Low cost
- Benefits are often immediate
- Engaging staff means you have allies in your sustainability drive who collectively drive the agenda forward
As an example of our ability to reduce costs we have recently completed a pilot program for TKMaxx in 20 of their stores focusing on behavioural change affecting electricity, gas, water and waste. Our original aim was to reduce these individually by 12%. We were delighted that the pilot programme exceeded expectations and saved in excess of 14% in each area. The full roll out across Europe will save TK Maxx in excess of £1.8m.
Recognising that each client is unique, we tailor our remuneration model to suit each client. This varies from a fixed cost per assignment to a share of savings approach.
